The Android app

Seshat stores study sessions, subjects, settings, notes, moods, and generated analytics locally on your device. Core use does not require an account.

Permissions

• Notifications: used for an active study timer, cycle alerts, and optional study reminders.
• Focus Guard is optional. Observe records only how long you leave an active session. Guard asks for Android Usage Access so it can identify the foreground app, compare its package with your local allowed-app list, and record the app label, package, and interruption duration. This check happens only while a Guard session is active.
• Lock me in uses Android screen pinning. Seshat does not request contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or access to the study files opened in an allowed app.

Focus Guard data

Focus Guard settings, allowed-app packages, and interruption records remain on your device. They are not sent to Seshat, used for advertising, or used to profile activity outside an active study session. You can leave Guard disabled, revoke Usage Access in Android Settings, edit the allowed list, or remove the records by deleting or resetting local app data.

Website waitlist

If you join the optional waitlist, we store your email, platform preference, language, consent version, creation time, and subscription status in Cloudflare D1. We do not store your name, IP address, or browser user-agent in the waitlist record.

Analytics

The website uses privacy-focused Cloudflare Web Analytics and anonymous daily counters for two calls to action. Those counters contain no personal identifiers.

Your choices

You can export, import, reset, or remove local app data. You may request removal from the website waitlist through the support page.

Questions or waitlist-deletion requests can be sent through riyadsibai.com/contact. This policy is effective September 7, 2026 and will be updated when the app or platform requirements change.
